Why 'C' Language is called Middle-Level-Lanaguage?


Procedure Oriented Language (or) High Level Language:
These languages have been designed to give a better programming efficieny. (ie., faster program development)
Ex:- C , C++, java etc...
Machine Oriented Language (or) Low-Level language:
These languages have been designed to give a better machine effiicieny. (ie., faster program execution).
Ex:- Machine language and Assembly language.

======> 'C' Stands in between these two categories . So 'C' language is Known as Middle-level-language or Intermediate language.

    High Level language :
    A high-level programming language is a programming language that is more user-friendly, to some extent platform-independent, and abstract from low-level computer processor operations such as memory accesses.
    Low Level Language :
    A low-level programming language is a programming language that is more machine specific, and from computer processor operations such as memory accesses is directly dependent.
