Different types of C language files

When we wrote a c program, it should be saved with a extension .c (ex: sum.c)
Three main files in C language.
.c ( source file) & .bak( backup file)
.obj (object file)
.exe ( executable file (result))
=======> In the above last two files are automatically created by the compiler when our source code doesn't contain any errors.
